Quebec Session Class #10: Favorites from Olympia and Seattle Sessions!

Celebrate the tenth anniversary of Quebec Session classes in Portland with a great set of Québécois tunes which are widely played by our Quebec session neighbors in Olympia and Seattle.

This five-session class will bring you ten great new tunes, from Quebec and the Acadian Maritimes. The mix includes recent compositions and time-honored tunes: reels, marches, jigs, and waltzes, with a lot of contra-friendly “square” tunes and a few great “crooked” tunes.

There will be five sessions: October 18, 25, November 15, 22, and 29. Each week, you will receive recordings of the tunes for the coming session played at dance speed and a learner-friendly speed.

We’ll celebrate with our traditional end-of-class party, AND we will also extend a special invitation to folks in Olympia and Seattle to join us for the December Quebec jam.

The cost of the five week session is $95-130 sliding scale.

This is the only Quebec fiddle class I will be teaching this Fall…it will be a lot of fun and I hope you can join me!

FOR WHOM: All melody instrument players (accordion players, please check with me re: keys), intermediate to advanced (you have been playing at least a couple of years, can play a couple dozen tunes by heart, and have experience learning by ear)
